IPL Edition 3 gets underway

The third edition of the Indian Premier League got underway Friday with a grand ceremony at the DY Patil stadium in Mumbai.

All the celebrities associated with the League flew into the stadium on choppers.

The captains of the eight teams in the League were present. Defending champions Deccan Chargers played the Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening match.

The IPL third edition will feature 60 matches in 12 venues across India.
