Blasts kill many in Pakistani city

Two sucide bombers triggered their explosives in crowds in the Pakistani city of Lahore - killing 45 people on Friday. 

Officials said the attacks came within seconds of each other. The target appeared to be military vehicles which were in a crowded area.

Among the dead were nine troops and more than 100 people were hurt in the attacks. No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

On Monday the Taliban militia attacked a building where the intelligence services operate. Thirteen people died in the attack.

Friday's attacks are also seen as the work of the Taliban to avenge a Pakistani military offensive.
