Israel votes to relax Gaza blockade

Israel's cabinet has voted to relax the land blockade of Gaza Strip. The Israeli's say more civilian goods will be allowed to enter the territory.

Last month nine Turkish activists died in clashes with Israeli commandos on board a ship that tried to breach the blockade.

The raid triggered international condemnation and led to pressure for easing the blockade.

Israel ordered the blockade after Hamas took over administration of the Palestinian territory.
